Can anyone reassure me of the situation in Scotland re Deisel at present as I am embarking on a three week tour up the west coast starting tommorow Sunday. A friend has just phoned me to say some stations are limiting customers to £10 worth, (is someone scaremongering) anyone up there please reply soonest please.

Many thanks Tony

hi tony,
I have only seen one small filling station in the tayside area
with a £20 limit on fuel,
otherwise its business as usual
I don't think you'll have any problems with fuel in scotland
for the best price, fill up at tesco or asda etc, in central scotland,
its a lot dearer farther north

enjoy your trip!

Filling up

Hi Tony,
Tesco have a store up as far as Wick, near the airport. :) We did this run last September and it was brilliant, but we have fishing rods under the bed and two short legged dogs! ;) Please fill right up at Wick as the North West corner is very expensive for fuel (£1-12 ltr last Sept) even though attendants fill up for you! (Theres a novel idea!) You will have a great time. :D
Cheers, Jim
