Dealers.......

:D Spoke to a couple of DEALERS..... sharks at the N.E.C. on Saturday and I really think that, they think, we are all a bunch of fools waiting to part with our money....and as soon as you try to DEAL... they treat you like a moron.
Worst still, I saw a van I am interseted in on a DEALERS ebay posting , at a reasonable price .
This van was a year younger than mine but the price new was the same as mine.
The spec on the , for sale van was bog standard, no extras and, the smallest engine.
My van is loaded with extras, has a solar panel, Gaslow system, top grade alarm, higher grade engine and is in pristine condition.

I rang the DEALER yesterday expressing my interest and he was dead keen and said he would ring back.

Now I know money would have to change hands....( from Me)..... as I know they need to show something on thier books and I thought a couple of grand would do it.

The DEALER rang back in the afternoon and talked the biggest load of mollix I have heard since last speaking to AJ, and then said he would want £7000 :eek::mad:to do a DEAL.

Are these people living in the same world as me and you or are they just waiting untill they have fleeced us enough to join Lord Ashcroft as a non dom tax exile:mad:.

needless to say , I am no longer interested in DEALING with a DEALER as if I want to be robbed I will go for a walk with me wallet on a string, in Moss side.:D

We are not all like that, you obviously did not go on the Swift or Auticruise stands and speak to any of mine.:)

We even give five years free hab services with all our vans, new or pre-owned

Do we still get a 5% discount if we are buying a motorhome from you??

Wasting your time Peter, It is a well known fact that the customer courtesy of top gear, Camel keepers weekly etc know far more about the job than you ever will.

If the daft foccers dont get their way in their own little world the Motor trade are a set of thieving lying cheating barstewards.

There is only one cheating lying set of thieves and that is the customer in my experience.

Strike a deal

You try swopping tyres , changing batteries, removing stereos you are a tvat ...( and TS on your back quicker than a rat up a drainpipe).however it seems acceptable to the general public.

An Idea :eek:Have you considered sticking a charity number above the doors to your premises ? It seems some of the idiots here at least cant stomach motorhomes are how some people earn their living..

Hi Channa,

I do not dispute your statement about the 'toe droppers' I spent quite a few years in the normal motor trade and know all the tricks.

But in all fairness, the leisure industry as far as my dealership is concerned, we find the vast majority of our customers don't do that sort of thing.

Customer agro, we dont get any, we sort out any problems they may arise and treat people as we expect to be treated ourselves.

Yes we might get one in a 100 who have bought the wrong van and then find every nitty gritty thing to complain about, but then thats life.

Good for you, and if you have the integrity which you claim ( and I have no reason to doubt it )

I appreciate your ethics.

You may have gathered I have Retail Motor Industry experience too ...only 25years has it happens.

So my appreciation you are doing the trade proud are not idle words

Sorry my preferance is private, down here every van we looked at was hideously over priced,we ended up buying from a private seller and at a price that we both found reasonable.;)

.

china... **** pith off to Europe early will yer... do everyone a favour and spend 25 year over there ..it's their turn for you.. honest
and don't come back until you'll learned some friggin common sense...

no matter how many jobs you've had or for how long or what experiences you have gained or how many expertise you claim to have...

...the 2 thing you are still short of is people skills and common sense....

How old are you:eek:..... All the jobs, places lived, places visited, things done, houses lived in, vans, tents lived in, ....... You must be at least 379 years old, and thats if you did it all on speed.

My van is coming from Johns Cross. Should have been picking it up tomorrow.
Got a call today from Lawrence who told me there was a problem with the heater solenoid and this will mean a one week delay.
Not a problem for me, rather have everything working than not. As a consolation he has/will fit a second leisure battery free of charge.
Definately a good company to deal with and believe me I have dealt with some "snake oil" salesmen in my time.:)

Rick, I have ignored a few of your previous sideswipes to maintain a little decorum , On the basis most people dont it seems enjoy a slanging match.

However seeing as you continue to irritate, and more to the point be an AJ puppet/ muppet

I think with respect if you re read your opening post sunshine, there is only one person talking rollix ...and that is you !!!!

It seems you totally lack the acumen, or have a grasp of the fact that a deal is a negotiation process, more to the point you havent shared your previous /current profession. Please do I guarantee I can slate you.

Your Mate enjoys a play on words, But I have one of my own... change your name from tresrikay to Leisure thicky .....you wont be doing yourself any discredit honest,,, if your original post is anything to go by !!!

In fact leisurethicky is good, you neither have a grasp on the real world in your deluded perceptions.

of course poisoned dwarf is another name you could use...having seen the piccies..but of course small man syndrome is becoming more and more understood.

Naturally the kindest regards

Channa

So if you dont mind I would rather read Mhome threads than have to retort to a wnaker like you
