It's the battery bracket that matters, and don't use sellotape or tacks; just tie them on with string ... and a gob of blue tack if needed ...

Specified as good for an 'f' type Jag which typically should have the + stud on the left according to AI. (yeah I know!).

(it is a Stop/Start battery I don't know if that matters?)

It would not be a good idea to fit a stop start battery , they are very expensive

Banner battery dead as a Dodo on the MH. There is no point in trying to jump start it as the date on the battery when fitted is 1/2021. I'm now looking for a new battery spec'd at 95ah, measuring 354mm long x 175mm wide x 190mm high, Easy peasy you may say, far from it. All the batteries I've looked at have the + stud on the right, I need a battery with the + stud on the left. To make matters worse, quite a lot of batteries on offer have either no pic of the stud configuration and none in the description.
What's even more odd, I found the exact copy of my dead battery 'Banner 95ah 595 33', except the studs are the reverse of mine.

I can feel a new MH coming on.

Our mechanic is ordering a battery for us @ £120, not sure what make yet but it won't be any old crap.
I may even use my irresistible charm and ask if he will fit it at home.

Hmm. Most of my batteries are a fair bit older than that. Are you sure it is not just flat?

You can never recover a flat battery, it will maybe start a engine after a charge but die and useless after a day standing.

Well. I would take it out (you have to anyway), charge it for 72 hours then load test it.

If you think you may need to remove the new battery in the future Ral have you considered lowering it in on a couple of straps that you can leave in place?

If that far down it wont be worth 2 dee and never recover past 80% if lucky, most dont.

My engine battery lasted over ten years still working perfectly, only changed it because I wanted reliability
