Daytime road closure, North Highlands.

If anyone is heading north this time of year (doubtful!), the A836 between north of Lairg and Altnaharra is closed during the day. This said, they sometimes let vehicles through midday-ish. I got though today in my 4wd, wouldn’t of wanted to try and get the Sprinter through!
The actual present block is from around the Crask Inn to a couple of miles north. They’re road widening the road and flattening out corners to bring in huge wind turbines. The industrialisation of the Highlands continues....

Just to update...

Daytime closures still in place. Given they haven’t even begun to drag the huge wind turbine parts north yet, I imagine it’ll be a good road to miss for 2022!
