Does anyone know if there any suppliers of this type (see picture attached)

Thanks

Hi Iain to be honest I am struggling to see the damage but company in Canvey Island [boat builders] do this kind of work . Trying to find the name but I'm sure somebody will have it .
All these bumpers , in my experience , are eye-wateringly expensive

Unfortunately I can't see the damaged area either so I'm thinking the bumper is cracked somewhere on the lower lip. I'd consider purchasing a small fibre glass repair kit, excellent for putting strength back into plastic or fibre bumpers. Happy patching if you decide to take my advice

If you look at their gallery pages they have a picture which is for a CI Cusona 594 which looks just like yours

Might just have a go, can you point me to a fibre glass kit?

AW Marine & Sons
They could also repair your old bumper if it is repairable
I'm just North of Glasgow, the current price of diesel might prohibit the journey south :)

Remove bumper fibreglass the hole inside . fill hole with epoxy gell coat filler ( epoxy is waterproof ) rub down filler to perfection , then rattle can paint first coat etch primer . then primer , flat with 1200 wet or dry, finish with several thin coats of white then flat and polish , if you have the skills it is a cheap easy repair . Check out grp repairs on you tube .

Any auto parts will stock repair kits. Method from what I can see; you will need some ruff production paper, clean the under side of all dirt then scratch the surface for good adhesion. Now put duck tape over the hole, this is to help keep the original shape, allows you to fibre glass the shape from behind. Cut matting to size (do not use large pieces) makes life difficult. Mix a small amount enough to build the bottom section of the repair, use three strips of matting putting in place separately. If possible whilst preparing put an upward lip on the lower edge with duck tape this will stop the resin dripping from the repair onto the ground, unfortunately resin is runny. When the initial patch has gone off (hardened) rub down any excess that looks unsightly, then start the next section. Trying to do it all at once will see all your hard work end up on the ground in a heap. When hard remove duct tape, apply body filler to the hollows and shape. Take a step backwards and admire your fine work before painting.

Our Motorhome is currently at a boat repairers in Plean near Stirling, getting various repairs done, one of which is making a new bumper. I would recommend you call them and arrange to take yours in for a quote. I thought my quote was very reasonable.

They firm is Caledonian Mouldings, tel 07719 628333 and speak to Adrian

I decided to rearrange the rear bumper 2nd or 3rd day of a 10 week trip away when I caught a root sticking out of a sand bank. When I got home I got to grips with it using a combination of superglue and duct tape first of all to keep the bits together, and then fibreglassed it from the rear. It’s not a great repair, but it’s fine for me.

Don't want to be pessimistic but ..

October 2019 - a Truck damaged my rear bumper on a Spanish motorway.
December 2019 - Insurance approved repairs and parts order placed.

September 2021 - new rear bumper delivered to repairer.

Lot closer to OP than Canvey Island !
Excellent information , especially for those of us in Scotland or the northern half of England
To be fair when my bumper was repaired I stopped at Canvey on way to France . Bumper taken off , temporary repair made , lights in place etc . On return new bumper was ready , fitted in a couple of hours . Much , much cheaper than buying new bumper .

I had one good repair done several years ago by a boatyard in Portugal, similar damage to yours, they reinforced the back and then filled and resprayed the front. It did not need a new piece so do ask boatyards. Also contact local van and truck bodyshops, much better than motorhome or car repairers who are only interested in fitting new pieces.
