I think you're right, we've always had cutlery rattling previously in other vans but we don't seem to get it in our latest one and this one has the smallest drawer and it's well crammed with shite. So if your cutlery draw is noisy you've probably not got enough in there🤔.
Same thing doesn't seem to work with saucepans and cups mind and it drives me mad if we leave anything in the sink...sounds like we've got a fekin xylophone band tuning up in the back.

Paper napkins, teatowels, fresh microfibre cloths etc - uses the vacant space that enables the clatter, whilst providing storage for said cloths, so kills 2 birds with one stone [quietly ...]

We only have ONE drawer in this, over the fridge, under the worktop, and it is a cutlery drawer with dividers. It can't be more than 50mm deep; it has six of everything in it I have the silicone/rubber matting stuff on the bottom of each compartment. no room left for anything else except the rattle.

I use the same stuff for all the pans, and they live in the oven, so that stops the shelf rattling. We have a plate rack and ceramic plates with a melamine plate in each section, so no rattles there, bowls seem fine just stacked.

I was thinking of something like one of these, but able to take the forks n spoons too.

I think 8 inches would be long enough, Rob, Liz seems pleased enough with it. There will only be about 1 inch hanging out.
 
As Trev says quite easy really, wrap each item individually in a piece of paper towel and then bubble wrap secured with an elastic band :)
 
We were just about out of ceramic plates on this last trip having broken them all. Michelle found some plates and bowls in Tesco that are made out of recycled stuff. They were cheap as chips, light as a feather and they actually look ok and of course don't rattle. I don't think any of our rattles come from the cutlery draw but its quite a shallow drawer and is full. If its not full it would rattle I guess.
 
We kept a bundle of cheap foam car wash pads and then just shoved them in any space that would allow pans/utensils etc to rattle. I also lined every cupboard and draw with thin polyurethane foam and we ended up with a pretty quiet moho. The most difficult thing to stop rattling were the bifold doors in the bathroom as the plastic material was a bit loose in the frames.

I'm thinking of putting a Tambour door on the shower room but I do worry if it will rattle a lot.
