I have managed to more or less silence everything in the van except for over the bumpiest roads of our dear country, but I've not thought of a way to quieten the cutlery drawer yet.

What do you chaps n chapesses do?

Cutlery roll. Ex made me something like this. This one is nicer than mine though. :ROFLMAO:

Can't hear it for the sound of everything else clattering about. :D

I'm sure this van is noisier than the old one but Michelle reckons not. It improved when I lowered the tyre pressures on the ludicrously expensive Conti CP tyres as per the data from Continental but its still awful on a bumpy road. The trade off is its absolutely amazing on motorways, twisty smooth mountain roads etc and handles and drives like a car. Pretty flat. The only solutions I have heard is stuffing in tea towels etc. Can't be arsed with all that.

Does create a storage problem though.

I was wondering if one of the things that knife sets sometimes come in, sort of a tub with plastic sticks in.

We've always carried cutlery in tupperware boxes before now and never noticed any rattling.

One thing Julie insisted on though when I installed a drawer unit recently was a proper cutlery tray so I will see how it goes.

My cutlery dont rattle in the drawer tray but the metal racks in my gas oven do, so its stuffed with bubble wrap.

Hardly a massive problem :ROFLMAO:

Mine is a bit different to one pictured. No individual bit for each utensil, just individual bits for each type. Magnet strip on back which when stopped hangs on panel behind sink. Well, it did until I took the magnetic panel off the back panel. When driving roll up and bung in cupboard.
tea and coffee containers magnetic too, so all got stuck on panel when stopped.
