cruise control fitted

cruise control

It is fitted as standard to the current van, but I can drive more economically without it. It is very relaxing, until someone boxes you in on the motorway, then I do an AJ and get the foot down:D at which point you don't want to be looking at the mpg readout.

Personally, if I hadn't changed my van it was something that I was already obtaining prices on for my last van.

I have an Eagal cruise control fitted, it was only £40 and i fitted it in an hour, not as good as all the ones you guys are talking about but, on the motorway you set it and can relax and move your legs. Soon as you touch the break it switches of or you can fick a button BRILL......

Cheap option but make life i little easyer on long motorway driving....

Yep I love mine, it makes a big impact on fuel economy on the motorway when going distances. You can set your speed at the most economic and it will stay at that speed all day long.

I think that the economy is mainly gained by the fact it will make minute adjustments to increase or decrease your speed. When we drive we tend to move our foot up and down too far and waste fuel.

Thats the exact opposite of what I have found, because, unlike manual control, it can't anticipate anything. For example it will floor the throttle on a steep hill, and then only reacts AFTER your vehicle has reached the summit.

With the high prices for diesel, I hardly use it anymore, it wastes too much fuel. There is no comparison between my normal smooth driving style and cruise control.

you muppet :p... no yer don't...

just stick ye foot to the floor and leave it there .. easy.:D. save yerself
pound .. no need to buy a cruise :)

regards :D;aj

I had a cruise control like that, i called it the carpet ,went like the clappers but wasn`t very economical .I will have to get one of those fangle dangle electronically controlled ones fitted to my new van.;)
