Our little village pub "The Crooke Hall Inn" a traditional pub with quality Grub! and just a few minutes off Junction 27 off the M6 (making it an excellent North South stop over) ALWAYS welcomes Wild Camping members.
However, this weekend is one of our periodic Beer Festivals. So, Camper/Motorhome space will be very, very limited, as will access.

Just so you good folk know!

This reminds me: what's up with the pub stops POI file? Doesn't seem to get updated any more.

The normal wildcamping files seem to be dated June 2024, but the pub stops files are even older.

Thanks. I shall have to reload the pub stops one, because mine is an older one.

I’ve heard about Crooke Village being friendly toward respectful wild campers, but it’s still important to double-check local by-laws and landowner permissions. “Welcome careful campers” usually means: no fires, no litter, and leave no trace. If you keep it low-impact — small tent, quiet setup, and pack out everything — locals tend to stay welcoming. Always good to support the local pub or shop if there’s one nearby too.
