Cracked shower tray

We’ve got concentric cracks part way round the outlet from our shower tray on RT Pegaso 590. Apart from the eye watering cost and delay of a new one from Italy, replacing it thanks to the order in which RT have assembled it, it would require dismantling the entire shower, plumbing, washbasin, screen and bathroom cupboards to replace it.
Does anyone have experience of a specialist who could effect a repair in situ? And what they may charge?
 
We had a cracked shower tray and we were recommended to use Milliput. There are various colours and once it has gone off you can drill and grind it if needed. It did the job for us. Hope this helps.

This is the problem. I’ve used Milliput before for

other things, but I don’t think it would work for this cluster of very fine cracks.
 
Captain Tolleys Creeping Crack Cure didn’t work either. The larger crack shows some flexing, which shows just how flimsy these shower trays are.

...having said that they ain't cheap either, but from what I've read you would get a finished product guaranteed for the life of the van.
 
Coincidentally I've just spoken to Speedcoat.

They are going to repair the corner washbasin in my 2007 Autotrail Dakota. I cannot source a new replacement.

If I could get a replacement it would cost about £150 and take a couple of hours to replace so the likely total cost could be £350.

Speedcoat are charging £245 including VAT at their premises in Ludlow. 10 year guarantee as well.

You can stay on their premises because it's a two day job with hookup, water and wifi.

A no brainer for me even if I could source a replacement.

I'd give them a call. They're extremely helpful.
 
My shower tray was done by Speedboat before I bought it in 2018 and still going strong. Looking how yours has cracked though it may be whatever is supposed to be supporting under the outlet has gone. I would think Speedboat would tell you though as if they thought that they wouldn't do the work just coating it.

Shower tray cracking is often due to issues with lack of adequate support; when Speedcoating mine, Edwards pumped in expanding foam beneath the shower tray to provide more support.

Ah great, I didn't know if they did anything other than apply the coating so that would sort it out ok :)
 
I repaired mine in 2021 and it is good, see -

Number 14 might be correct. I think I might attack it gently with a soldering iron to firstly seal the surface, make sure it is as clean as possible, as the paint I linked to is quite thick I might be tempted to put a piece of aluminium tape, or maybe the white gorilla duct tape (it's smooth)...

Crack in shower tray-Can I fix it?

Hi All I have just discovered a crack on the flange of the shower tray. Is it fixable or do I need a new tray especially as it has yellowed so badly?

I fitted a 1000mm x 700mm resin shower tray last year and I don't think ill have and problems with cracking lololol

Thanks for the recommendations for Speedcoat. Good professional job. Everything masked and protected carefully. Non-slip and anti-microbial. 10 year warranty. Took 2 hours, done at home on the drive. Cost £450 inc VAT.
Because of the order everything was installed by the manufacturer, to replace the shower would,

according to dealer have involved waiting months for parts from Italy and dismantling half the bathroom and fittings, and cost up to £1500.
