Councils should be held accountable by the people in their zone, sacking or a jail sentence for wasting or winging monies to their mates for daft expenditures, thank heavens for spell checker or id be bolcoxed.

So now we are up to 30 do you think they got a discount for bulk. I wonder how long it will be before someone puts a claim in for burning themselves on a council bbq. Or maybe the beach patrols do the cooking you. Or maybe super safe ones that just don't get hot. I dare bet they are not in use this time next year.

When they don't want motorhomes parking they just Ban them when they don't want dogs on the beach they ban them
Surely to stop BBQ's being left on the beaches it would be much easier to Ban their use on beaches

Two things spring to mind. Wouldn't it have been better to have some type of shelter for the BBQ's given that we only get approx 3 weeks of a proper summer, the rest of the time it's pishing down!

Wouldn't it have benefited the local community more if the money had been spent on cash strapped social care?

I suppose the council could always cremate the old biddy's on the BBQ's at, least the council will be getting their monies worth out of them.
