Consort Motorhomes Leeds

We've been to a few PVC builders, all were let down by their idea of good insulation, the rest is just design and build quality, but if the insulation isn't good enough, winter or summer you'll suffer.

I spent a lot of time researching for the self build, the only one any good was sprayfoam to min 25mm.

Insulation is one thing, but that is more a heating performance test, not a passive insulation test.

My van went to Norway in winter, and they used the heating twice, not sure if we'd have done the same, as I feel the cold badly, and I went to great lengths to avoid cold bridges, and keep the heat in the van, I even fitted double thermal curtains to the cab that had magnetic strips on the edges, to mate with magnetic strips on the floor and walls.

OTT, just a bit, but I was only going to be able to build one, and it had to be perfect for us, and apart from the bed layout, it was.
