Compressor fridge question

It's just a touch smaller than our fridge, for piece of mind you would need to double solar and 50a bat/bat with 200ah LA or 100 lith. That would roughly give you 3 days stationary should you want or need it in winter.. Summer you would have no problems I would think. With those changes.

Too technical for me Kev, but my compressor fridge works absolutely fine in high temperatures and uses naff all battery power.

Since fitting I only use gas for hot water and hearing (and the heating goes electric this week) and I’ve never replaced a gas bottle since.
Diesel heating , gas hot water and cooking . Compressor fridge .
Had the van 15 months not refilled gas yet

Those Fridges are very nice. As you can see from the price, it is a top end jobby.
I was considering one of those to replace my Thetford 3-Way but decided to get an LEC 240V Compressor Fridge with the same kind of Fridge and Freezer capacity at around 1/4 of the price.
Power-wise, 50Ah/24Hrs give or take for a Fridge/Freezer is pretty typical. Sorry to those who say their Compressor Fridges uses virtually no power ... nonsense. I used to see posts on the VW Forum about how someone fitted a compressor fridge and it ran fine for a whole weekend festival on their - for the time - fairly minimal power setup. But they ommited the fact they would load it up with frozen water, turn it off overnight and it would be empty by Sunday morning anyway - so the "whole weekend" added up to maybe 24 hours of being switched on ;)

Sorry, Kev, but "naff all battery power" equals 42Ah/24Hrs going by the link you posted of the fridge you have, which is identical to the spec of the fridge Kevin quoted :D

I do like the new fridges where they can open on either side, Liz would be really confused by that idea.
Quite neat things and handy - IF your van layout means there is a usefulness to it (many won't. Would be useful to me if I was getting out the shower and wanted to get something out the fridge :) )

On the flip side, there are reports of the doors falling off as it is apparently quite easy to not lock the door back into the hinges/pegs when closing and when you open the opposite side .... Opps!
