Comet Sink Taps

Does anyone know how to service Comet Sink taps. My Florida has a Comet Nova mixer tap in the kitchen sink. The hot tap has started leaking, when turned off it continues to flow until it drains the line from the hot water heater. I have removed the top knob which gives access to the microswitch and the rotating part. I have tried to lever this out without success. Is there a trick or is it just a matter of brute force?

Try this link. I believe that Comet taps are similar to Reich taps. Anyway, these people have an advice line that might give a better answer to your question, as well as supplying any parts that you might need.
