We have a Nespresso coffee machine at home for our daily treat of a 'proper' coffee. Expensive I know, but nice coffee. Other than that SWMBO has her instant and I drink builder's tea.

Amazon and eBay are awash with 12v coffee makers - anyone got a firm favourite?

Thanks

when i want a coffee hit i put 3 teaspoons of Nescafe in an espresso cup and add hot water. give it a try !

i use a 1940's aluminium coffee pot on the gas hob which bubbles the water through a strainer on a stick inside the pot - it makes wonderful coffee and I just lurve the bubbling noises ....... small things..... I know.....

We have one of those as well, but don't forget that I fitted the PSW inverter just to run the Nespresso machine, such is our dependence on it...
I fitted the same inverter to run our Tassimo, it works a treat but I fitted an extra 150w of solar panel (250w in total) to make sure, if I had a taxi deliver a cup of coffee 5 times a day from Costa it might have worked out cheaper but we like to be independent:dog:.
We were buying Tassimo Coffee pods on offer for the equivalent of £5 for three packs in France, it costs £10 for three if it is on offer here, if we had been stopped in customs at Dover I would have had to declare 120 packs of coffee but with a saving of £200 for something that does not weigh anything and doesn't go off it paid for a tank of fuel and the ferry, at last my wine is even cheaper

:ninja: We have a cafetiere that we use - gives us a lovely pint or two of the black stuff 1st thing!

We've no hook-up and only enough battery power to recharge our phones  same applies at home! lol

This is known as "kicking the *rse out of it"

Any fool can rough it.

We have a Tassimo, absolutely love it but we also use one of these Italian Coffee peculators which I presume is the same as Delicagirls

No, mine really is 50-60 years old, and there is nothing quite like it on amazon... I had a good scroll through tonight and looked on collectable sites also but didn't find another like it..... .... so.. who knows I may have an antique on my hands !!

I'll still use it for me morning brew tho !
