Coffee drinkers -

well we drink one coffee a day and it's an excellent highly caffeinated blend drunk with plenty of sugar and frothy milk. we of course offer up a prayer to the patron saint of coffee drinkers who you've no doubt all heard of . he was made a saint for getting heavier and heavier till nobody could shift him, something some of us have managed without being sanctified. i refer of course to the beatified one himself - the great Drogo !
the rest of the day it's pg tips

Can't function without a coffee when I get up in the morning. If I'm at home I'll have another mid-morning, one with lunch and another 2 or 3 later, but not after 7pm or I will never get to sleep.

Can't abide tea.

I drink one cup of coffee with breakfast, tea and water all day, then another up of coffee with dinner, in evening will drink elder flower or water or cider or ovaltine.

phew tezza - i was beginning to think twas only me drank who 5-6 mugs a day of real coffee strong and black..... 5-6 would be a good day for me !!

i was up at 4.45 today and had drunk 3 x 2cup cafetieries by 9.00am - mind you i dont often get up that early - i couldn't sleep so i got up and did spreadsheets... very productive time
I normally do two mugs a day of coffee and not bothered how I take it cut out the sugar two years since

Re twilight hours being productive I agree,,, Any important e mails or study I always seem more productive early hours and more focussed Heads a shed by afternoon though

Me heads a shed 😆 Thanks Andrew .. it's me new saying

I drink one cup of coffee first thing to rev things up even though its decaf but I have convinced my brain its the real deal !!

The rest of the day I drink Tetleys vanilla rooibos tea (decaf) .....I haven't had caffeine for three years as it gives me the dreaded restless leg syndrome and makes me nutty :lol-053:

I didn't know there's a connection between caffeine and restless legs, though I generally only have two coffees a day. Walking sometimes helps, but not something I want to do in the dark in winter. My go to solution is a tramadol. It usually stops or lessens the legs and helps me sleep by stopping the brain going into overdrive. I needed to see the doc a few weeks ago and mentioned my legs while I was there, but he didn't take up what I'd told him so I'll carry on as I am.

That’s actually an interesting point, But I don’t think there’s a direct comparison with Coffee & Restless Legs as I know someone who only ‘May’ have a single coffee in the morning, Then A cpl of Teas throughout the day, Maybe a Squash or Two for a change & Doesn’t drink anything after say 18:30 But will insist on doing some Vurtual Training for the London Marathon in her Sleep !.
But Foods & Drink Does affect people very differently !

I just make a BZZzzz img noise then jab her with a Trank Dart !

I agree , My unscientific theory is that if you look at depression for example there is a deficiency in serotnins and that naturally varies from person to person , Melatonin is the hormone replaced to induce sleep so levels vary person to person and there are things we can do like not watching tv , PC.s half hour before bed so homone production doesn't become suppressed.

Peoples ability or inability to produce hormones is as broad as our weights etc..(interesting study in snakes pop that one in, environment affects brumation )

It is interesting we have allegedly visited space, explored depths of the ocean (still learning) but we still it seems understand very little as to how the brain operates.

Perhaps a glimpse of my madness

I definitely noticed a difference sue when I stopped caffeine ... although I do know it can linked to an iron dificiency..... lavender oil helps massaged into the calves but not always.
The cbd oil I take definitely calms my brain down and let's my legs go to sleep 😴

Have you any advice on cbd oils? Looking at them at moment.

And just to stay on topic ;P only drink coffee out. Only tea at home, PG or Yorkshire but going to get in some tea from The Tea Brew co, probably best tea I've tasted. But to pricey for every cuppa.

Yes mark I do know lots about it as we sell it from one of the clinics I work from.
More and more people are wanting to know more because of the many benefits.

I can highly recommend a good website which I have no connection with but I use as it's 8% and it was recommended to me by a homeopath who really knows his stuff. I can pm you the details
It's amazing stuff and shame we can't get it on the NHS ...

Yeh, you really don't need anything to get your heart beating faster.
