Cobra Alarm

We decided to get a Cobra alarm fitted as it was a good price unfortunately the hubby ended up collecting the van win tired so didn't pay attention to the full showing of how it works.

It works on the vans own remote, and there is a button on the dash for night mode.

BUT how to I set it if the dog is in the van?

and if I lock the van it automatically alarms then the told is bound to set it off???????

Any Ideas????????

I have a cobra alarm fitted.

You have to press the alarm on (on the fob) either two or three times, can't remember which. Just get in the van and point to the consul and press it twice and move around, if it goes off it is three times.

You should have had instructions with it.

With most cobra alarms I think you press the alarm fod button with the ignition turned on then turn it off and leave the van, Dont you have instructions !!!!!!!!!!

The instructions unfortunately seem rather generalised and confusing! Will try again!

I have the cobra alarm fitted to my new van, if you want to set it with people or the dog inside, you turn the ignition on, then switch it off and then within 5 seconds press the button on the dash and hold it for a few seconds untill the light gives a long blink, then set the alarm off the fob as normal.

Thanks I have just been re reading that bit in the instruction sand that would make sense! What my husband thought did not make sense!!

Do u have any way of locking the cab doors without setting the alarm? We always used to lock the front doors just using the hab doors but might need to re think now we have this new alarm!!

and i plan to make a sticker for inside the van on the hab door so I don't open it with sleep mode on and wake everyone!

When I deactivate our alarm, I have to press the button twice then open either the drivers door or passenger door, if I don't after a short period the alarm resets itself. Once I've done this I can lock our van with the locking lever on the drivers or passenger doors, I can also lock the van with the door keys without resetting the alarm.
