Clutch claw - theft deterrent - any good?

Problem is they will not go round wide pressed steel pedals,so im going to make my own yogi up.
The clutch lock which goes round the s/wheel and a pedal is as much use as a chocolate fire guard,i can have em of in a second.

Exactly what i did ,fiddly ,but thats all to the good,another detterant on my old 1987
merc 508 is the starting sequence ,key in turn then push in ,if you dont push it in it wont start,ignition button push so it springs out ,then start with the starter button ,its second nature to me but somebody who didnt know could be messing about for a good while
