Clicking ERG Valve

Have a 2008 Boxer with the 2.2L engine. ERG valve was changed after a warning light appeared. All good for about 3k miles then it started to click, click click at the point when the engine is turned off. The mechanic I used replaced the valve with a new one, but this immediately produced the same clicking action.
So is there a faulty batch of valves from Eurocarparts or something else a foot?
Please has anyone else had this phenomenon? To keep this post on track could I ask for similar past experiences, not suggestions.

I had 2 duff turbos from them don,t think I,d buy from them again. Oem part fitted been ok for 20k now
