Once its clean give it a really good polish with a good quality wax like Collinite .. Here

I spent a day doing ours at the beginning of the year and all the MH needs is a wash with a bucket of soapy water and its ready to go again. I put a couple of coats of wax on the bonnet so the flies just wash off even after being baked on.
