Mechanical side: Lots of work done over time in renewing parts, such as: New heater matrix. Rear Springs. Front Shock absorbers. Water pump and viscous fan. Vacuum exhauster pump. Fan belt tensioner. New front marker lights. In the last two month a full service has been undertaken, rear brake shoes have been relined. New load balancing sensor. New Slave cylinders both sides at rear and new brake pipes where required.
Habitation side: Original E2800 front heater replaced with new E4000 version giving 2.8kw and 4kw heating options. Ducting altered to direct very hot air from front heater into van using a 90 degree outlet. Replaced Fridge 12v and mains electric elements, plus gas jet. Water heater replaced with dual Gas/Mains model. Bathroom basin replaced. Kitchen sink drainage modified for better drainage. Replaced shower head with “Camel” shower head and new hose. (original head also included). Some blown air joints, pipes and outlets have just been replaced. New SOG fan and a new control wire for inverter remote just replaced. For your personal hygiene and comfort a brand new Thetford cassette fresh up set (new toilet seat and cassette). This is the latest version cassette with handle and wheels, still boxed at present. Spare cassette with SOG fitting included. New SOG pipe and fitting for new cassette.

Two sets of Fiamma wheel mats. The original metal wheel chock for use while parking vehicles over 3500kg abroad, is also in place in the gas locker. Original 50 mbar regulators and Dual Bottle switch over pipework in locker with switches still in place and connected inside.
Lots of service history and bills. Appliance manuals and Russek vehicle manual for Mercedes 410D
A well used but well maintained example, which has spent most winters in Spain. We have lived in it, at minus 15c in Italy & France one winter (only waste tank outlet froze).
Original furnishings, so could do with a bit of updating after 25 years.
This vehicle is all ready to roll. MOT to 28/06/2018.
We cannot justify keeping this van in storage, as we aren't using it as much as we have in the past.
Known problems that don't affect use:
Possible heater plug faulty. Light doesn't come on at first but comes on after start up. No problems encountered starting in any weather. This is usually a sign that one of the 5 glow plugs is faulty.
Electric double step had been bent and straighten. Still usable. Buzzer disconnected.
Trailer indicator warning light intermittent. Bulb has been changed.
