Hope she gets sorted soon, all i can say is these days privat health ins is a good idea, i had to pay for my porky pies operation as i did not have insurance.

Well well well! Yesterday we compiled a long response / complaint to South Tees PALS and emailed it off to them. I don't know if this is coincidence but this morning about 40 min ago Michelle gets a call from the hospital. They want her back in tomorrow! Apparently there is extreme pressure on the left Kidney and it cannot wait three or four months. No sh*t Sherlock!

However once again its an emergency admission so she is dreading being brought in while she is well and just stuck on a ward in limbo again. She really didn't want to be admitted as an emergency again as there is no guarantee anything will happen. However if this sudden return to "action stations" is due to what we sent off yesterday then maybe it will.

My gut feeling is someone looked at the long list of failures and has done something about it.

I don't doubt you've triggered a reaction Barry. Organisations (NHS or whoever) are sensitive to these things nowadays.
Best of luck

Good luck for tomorrow, if Michelle is stuck in a ward in limbo again ask where the 'Pals' office is, the ones in Derby Hospitals are great if you have an issue while you are, I don't know if they are the same everywhere or things have changed but we had to use them once, the end result was very satisfactory.

It begs the question as to how many consultants are looking at Michelle's info and how it can change from go home and join the waiting list to today's "come in tomorrow, its urgent " ........... that's not the system, it's medical incompetence 🤬🤬
You may well be right . Though , in my case , I've had the treatment where a machine basically pounds your kidney to break up the stones . Further appointment showed not all had gone . Will get another appointment in a few months unless something happens [stones move] then I just go straight back in . No appointment required .
Appreciate my kidney stone problem is minor compared to Michelle's or many others .
Just got the impression the treatment is not an exact science

That is actually a good idea. Will add that to the list for tomorrow. Far better to raise an issue if she is fobbed off again whilst there than have to go home and start the procedure from here again.

I obviously haven't posted the entire account that was sent off to PALS yesterday but its quite the story going back to 2023 of incompetence.

I reckon someone senior has perhaps seen it, joined the dots and this is the result. Fingers crossed.
