Hi all just joined after advice from wildcamping forum (I'm a full member)

Looking at fitting one of the above but want to fit it externally (under) our 2011 ford transit. Just wondered if anyone had done the same, and if anyone thought that a wooden box would be ok to put it in.. thinking about it may get too hot?

Any advice/ tips welcome.

They definately need protecting from the elements!
there are some links to some good weather-proof sheet material on this forum, so worth checking those out for suitable gear to build a box from if you go that route (y)
 
Stick it under the passenger seat in a turret mount....

Perfect spot for it with minimum pfaff
