You have probably gathered by know I like my nosh...Actually nowhere am I happier than dabbling in the kitchen.

This is not a recipe as such, more a guilty pleasure. ...tasty and cheap too !!! and very quick

Step 1 find a Home bargains.

Purchase

Toasting waffles 69 pence for six
squirty cream 99 pence for a can
Tasty Butterscotch or maple syrup 99 P

method

Toast the waffles on whats handy engine block of the camper if you have arrived . **
spread a lashing of the sauce on the waffle
squirt squirty cream liberally on top
add more sauce

finally get it down yer ..so simple and tasty

** the waffles dont seem to toast like bread ...so get them warm and a bit of colour they seem to stiffen up off the heat ..

Of course you can play about and let us know, Not tried it but clotted cream and a decent jam ? Marmalade even especially a thick cut would work ?

My Home Bargain had jars of preserved cherries great on a waffle then finish off with the cream!

I wish all this talk of this kind of food would stop you are all giving me ideas 😋!!

I warm them up slightly then spread with Nutella then top with squirty cream. Yummy. We have paid €7 for that in the past accompanied by 2 blobs of ice cream. Ripped off I think we were. So I now make them myself.

no wonder the americans have an obesity problem.... We are not far behind as our portion sizes seem to grow by the month in pre-packaged foods

I can reeeeeeeeally recommend Mrs Darlington's Ginger (Extra Ginger) Jam on waffles, bread, toast, ryvita, in porridge... oh a myriad of uses.. it is soooooooooo wonderful.... one of my few indulgences.

I like to.

Whip up a large pot of cream.

Put some brandy in a shallow dish.

Take a packet of ginger biscuits.

Dip biscuits one at a time quickly in brandy and then stick together with cream and make a log shape.

Cover log with cream and sprinkle on grated chocolate.

Put in fridge for 30 minutes for brandy to soak in and then dive in.

suck .... that'll do me jimmy !!!!

Eggs Benedict David, know we are in business...For some reason the Brits don't do it. Steak for me should be dressed "on the board" common in France, and the best way keeps everything succulent and tasty.

We are lucky enough in the western world to put food on the table each day as a rule. Why we put up with mediocre is frankly beyond me.

I am a little old fashioned , meal times for me are an opportunity for families to eat well, and discuss whats going off around them......sadly I seem remote in my thought train.

Toasted waffles, drizzled with runny honey, and a sprinkling of chopped nuts. Delish!
