Hi, how about the park and ride at New Dover Road. proper motorhome spaces a tap and waste dump, it cost £2.50 for 24hrs and you also get the bus into Canterbury included. :D Bob.

Ave bin using that off n on but don't like to push my luck 2 many nites on the trot. They r brill there as long as u r clean n tidy, n no me well. I've bin using it since last April when I started work. Just would like somewhere off the beaten track to hole up 4 a while, that's cheap.
Thanks anyway

Hi maudlin, handsome chap here, have you thought about lookin for a c.s or even a c.l in the area, ideally on a bus route. When I sold my house I had to stay in the area for 6 weeks, I found a local certificated site and had a chat to them about staying there for the full period. I negotiated a good rate with them of £6 a nite with electricity.

How about finding an English language school with car parking – you may benefit from both! :p

Why use your first post to insult someone? You must have read the post and understood it as i did, despite the grammar. We are members of the forum hopefully to persue the hobby/pastime we all enjoy try to refrain from personal attacks.Enjoy the forum for what it is;)Andy.

You could try the site at St Nicholas-at-Wade. It's just off the Thanet Way - about 15 mins from Whitstable.
It's a nice, small, friendly site, never too crowded. Just drive towards the village, if you get as far as the church you've gone too far. Just drive right in, find yourself a pitch and the old man at the house will appear sooner or later for your money - About £10.
We use it quite often, there are good walks all around and the village pubs are brilliant.

cheap sites near Canterbury

Just a thought - there's a good place to stop at Tankerton - it's not a site but there are usually one or two motorhomes parked up there.
Go through Whitstable towards Tankerton, keep the sea on your left, follow the road until you see a small shop on a corner and a road going to the left ( I think it says No Through Road). Just go down there and park up.

I apologise profusel for offending anyone, if I did in my first post. It was not my intention. I'm afraid I always tell it as it is no frills, but am not an unkindly person. Have been living the travelling life for nearly 5 years and have found alot of prejudice towards single females with children as I have traversed. However, have also meet alot of friendlies along the way as well who have been more than helpful.
Thanks for all the good info to this query and will search out the suggestions.

No need to apologise

Hi Maudlin,

No need to apologise - I'm sure that the comment about being offensive was directed at the post from March, which was well out of order.

Sorry can't help with the Canterbury area but hope you get sorted.

Bill

Thanks Bill for confirmin that. I did sort of wonder after I'd posted, then thought mayb not. I don't mind the sarcasm. I ave no doubts bout me English, just chose not to comply when not teachin. HoHo, yes that's me job so ave to spell, speak n write proper then. These venues give me the opp to drop the facade.
Will let anyone no, who's interested, if I find any good places to b near Canterbury.
Happy Travelling
:)
