I have a small oil filled radiator I keep on low in the van to keep it from getting too cold & damp. I came up with the idea of putting a small light in the motorhome garage with a 40 watt bulb which I have turning on/off with a timer switch (they had these in poundland) turning it on for about 10 mins every hour or so it just keeps it a little bit warm. You could even put a number of lights around the van controlled from the one timer as they aren't going to use a lot of power, you could have different wattages to give more or less heat. Wouldn't be as much use with the energy saving bulbs as they don't give off as much heat.

In Lidl this week they have indoor or outdoor use with ice-warning function thermometer for £3.99 Thinking of fitting one in the van.

A bulb is a good idea for a van.

We used to keep welding rods in a cupboard with a light bulb in to counteract the almost 100% humidity in W. Africa.
