Charging Apple Mac Book Without Inverter

Is it this one? This is the one I just ordered. At that price its not much more than a dedicated 12v charger (if I could have found one)

The whole point of this thread is you don’t need one for a laptop and that’s a good thing because inverters are a stress on the electrics: inefficient and more likely to run your battery way down which is bad for its long term health.

I never wanted one but it was my own thread that convinced me that a Bestek 300w Pure sine wave inverter was the best choice. will find out soon enough, should be here Monday

Some interesting stuff in that thread.

Read the thread - all I can say is that of course any van dweller will want to have an inverter but I have found a way of not using mine every single day and I am extremely pleased as it has reduced burden on my batteries.

I've been using this one to charge my mac book air for two years with no problem. It got me through the first lockdown when I was living in the van (to protect my daughter who was shielding) and was teaching and doing online school. I often use the van as an office even now and have had no problems with it.
