got mine off ebuyer, so far so good

I have 2 of them I got from TV village about 3 and half years ago , they have been great no problem

Got 20", if there's a signal it works. A great set for the money------we love it

I have got the 19" (the only size that would fit in cupboard that disappears out of sight) it has the built in satellite receiver and the usual CD/DVD/USB/CARD READER, so far very pleased with it.:):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

Finlux tv

Hi I've been looking at the finlux cheap at £100 22 inch with DVDs think you have to pick up an 12v cable for about £15 looks good for the money just google finlux cheers

We've had a 19" Cello now for about 2 years. It works well enough, and contrary to other comments on here and in reviews we have no problems with the viewing angles. We had to have the remote control replaced as it was faulty and the remote is still a bit sluggish to respond. The other downside with it is that it takes about 5 mins to download all the available programs, which you have to do every time you move the MH if you are using an Omnisat terrestrial antenna. Using satellite is no problem as once you have your channels downloaded that is that. The worst thing about the Cello is the sound quality. Ours is now wired through the cab radio and comes through the habitation speakers, which is a far better solution. Make sure you listen to the Cello speakers before you buy!

I replaced my cello tv for a avtex tv because the wide angle wasn't good if you where sitting to the side the picture would be completely washed out, now the avtex has got a great wide angle view. Maybe my cello was the cheapest of the range (It came with the mh) and not all are the same?

We are pretty new to motor homes and I recently purchased a Cello tv. As per the above quotes, I agree entirely. The sound quality for the TVs itself is pretty poor. That said, it did come with a free Bluetooth speaker that makes all the difference. Luckily I also had a Bose Bluetooth speaker and when I connect that, it's better than the TVs at home.
It does take quite a while to tune and I pack the TVs away during every move so the first thing I do when we get anywhere is set it up and start tuning then when everything else is done for the particular site it's finished tuning and we can then sit down and enjoy it.

I haven't used the satalite so can't comment but for normal digital hd the picture is very good.

I did buy a hard disk to plug into the USB port to watch stored films but so far I haven't been able to get it to work directly so have had to resort to transferring them to a usb stick. Not much of a hastel as you can get loads on a stick with good memory. I think that this is due to the USB port on the TV not having a power supply like on a computer but I'm sure someone will be along in due course to correct me. As I said, not really a hastel but if we were going away for any length of time we will need to take a laptop along to transfer films on to the stick but realistically we would probably have the laptop with us anyway.

Personally I've had no problem with the viewing angle but I guess that will depend on where it's ultimately positioned. We have a lounge with only one really suitable place to position the TV so it's pretty much set in stone where the tv can go. Most of our camping is wild and the power saving function is very handy as we only have the one leisure battery at the moment.

All in all, a very good TVs with a lot of features for what you pay for and other than the sound quality I can't really fault it. The Avtex is a better TV but it is a lot more expensive so like everything in life, "how deep are your pockets"??? My thoughts are that having a TVs is a nice luxury but if I really want to watch something particular, we can do it at home during the week and enjoy the outdoors etc on a weekend.

Enjoy

I got a cello, it's mounted to a fully tilting/twisting bracket (so don't really have any viewing angle issues) and I have it plugged into a minirig so sound is fab (though that is a function of the minirig more than the telly).

I do get that avtex are good, but they are a rip off compared to what you'd get for that money in a domestic TV (just the usual case of trebling the price cos it has 'motorhome' in front of it)

We have a Cello 20" not happy with it at all. Sound not good, viewing angle totally useless. When using a hard drive picture doesn't seem to be the right size. Wouldn't bother with them. Yes it's not as expensive as Avtex but you certainly get what you pay for with this Cello make.:mad2:

tv

My one is sainburys 19in on a muti twist arm in mh, 3 years old now. New screen fitted last year by myself £25 .
Wife was useing at home in bedroom fell of bookcase. Hole in screen.
So repairs especially ez.
nd parts all ebay.
Telly is only as good as you , have you bad eyes and or bad ears. Mine is the greatest, Im deaf and blind!

I lied------------------our Cello is a 19" one. For a cheap (ish!) telly the sound is ok, in my 'umble opinion, the picture quality is pretty damn good too. Ours is mounted on one of those swing out and shake it all about thingies which allows us to see the screen pretty much wherever we sit. As in all things, you get what you pay for, and as a no nonsense caravan telly we can't fault it.
So there :baby::baby::baby:

Had a Cello Traveller 22"(it,s actually 21") for a couple of years. Set kept failing but if you squeezed the screen and the back together it came back on again. I opened it up and packed it out using thicker internal spacers than the originals and it,s worked fine since. It was cheap but it,s a lot lighter than the overpriced Avtex stuff. If it lasts another year or so it could be regarded as a disposable item as the purchase price was only about £160 including delivery.
Tompa.

The Cello may be cheaper than an Avtex but with the superb customer service from Avtex I would think the more expensive set would last longer than a Cello.I know of people contacting Avtex after the warranty had expired and still had the tv repaired. Also if you buy one from John Lewis they sell them with a 5 year guarantee Buy Avtex L187DRS LED HD Ready TV/DVD Combi, 18.5" with Freeview HD | John Lewis so why buy cheap when you can get a superior tv that will last twice as long, false economy I reckon.

I've had a Cello and an Avtex and had problems with them both, the Avtex customer service was fantastic,a phone call on monday morning, picked up by courier the same day and delivered back fully repaired on wednesday,it doesn't get any better.........buy cheap, buy twice.

I have had a Cello TV/DVD for about 3 years now and would thoroughly recommend them. Mine has inbuilt sat receiver, Bit fiddly setting up at first but any information regarding frequencies etc is available on the internet. And once installed its simple. I just put my portable sat dish on the roof, it auto tracks the astra satellite, Turn on TV and all channels are pretuned to my home TV region. Everything runs off 12v, and draws very little power, Have had UK TV as far down as Paris with no problems, I would need a bigger sat dish to receive signal any further south but TV always works fine.

I've got a Cello 20" TV/DVD that came with the van last year, think it was only a few months old. All works well but find viewing angles, unless looking at it straight on, and sound poor so planning to replace it with an Avtex.
