Catapults and brussel sprouts

Sprouts with horseradish ...Yummy.
Surprised some posh places do not do them as a starter...(sorry 2nd course)
1 Snacks (cashews posh nuts etc)
2 Sprouts with horseradish
3 Parsnip Soup
4 The full (Xmas) Monty
5 Xmas pud with brandy sauce
6 Cheese & biscuits (Stilton but also cheddar)
7 Coffee and liqueurs (my favourite being Benedictine but I an sure the Scottish contingent have their own) or Irish/Scotch coffee

8 Snoring at will !

OK Oh Oh Nearly forgot

Never heard of eating chestnuts as was told they are poisonus,but then again the irish think everything other than spuds will kill you.
Horse chestnuts (Conker's) are reputed to be poisonous, but sweet chestnuts are edible.

Daughter did shredded sprouts fried with bacon pieces,. Personally I'd have preferred them whole , steamed or boiled
 
My grandson, age 6, loves sprouts, and has done since he's been old enough to eat solids. His first Christmas we have a photo of him putting a whole sprout in his mouth. I did loads yesterday but we ran out, i think they are one of his favourites......his younger sister won't entertain them,

Well its a girl thing,no farting that we know of.
