How do I get the front cover off this heater to re attach the control knob down shaft which has become detached inside the heater, also I want to clean the heater

grab hold of both sides of the heater near the top and pull it towards you gently, then lift up as there are two little lugs that engage when replacing and you should see two springs on the side these lifft up to release the front it should only take a minute, whilst the fronts off vaccum the dust around the burners. hope this helps.

Pull the temp control dial on r/h side up to remove before pulling cover forward as suggested.When you have reconnected the bottom of the stiff wire arm thead the top through the front cover and reposition the dial last.A bit of copperease on the metal to metal juncions will help stop squeaks and refitting/removal.
