Never realised they were a family run business who started in 1979 and still family run now according to wickepedia - and probably why the quality is still there unlike some other marques

With all that solid wood and extra fittings, it must weigh so much more than his newer van. Double the fuel? a small ( ish) price to pay for such a well made van.

Thing I like about the m liner was its so much warmer inside at night we used our heating loads they didnt..

We have a Carthago A Class. Really nice but a few niggles. Biggest one was the oven which is now outside the Motorhome. It was hotter on the outside than the inside. We now have a drawer and waiting for a drawer front. For some unknown reason they like bright lights inside. Flick on one switch and it’s like wow that’s bright so been altering the wiring slightly. It is very well put together with bags of storage under the floors. All the underfloor storage area is heated and this keeps the rest of the Motorhome warm. Picked the Superlightweight as cannot be bothered with C1 licence. It is also smaller and far easier to park and SWMBO is happy driving it. Nine speed automatic is brilliant.. It is also very quiet when driving and a distinct lack of squeaks and groans. Part of the weight saving is machining out the back of plywood panels. We have also added lightweight gas bottles ( Plastic ) and swapped the battery saving 13kg. Don’t think we will need a solar panel as plenty of amps in the battery ( 120 useable ) and it has a box of tricks that gets the smart alternator producing more power. As was said earlier very warm inside.
