Absolutely outrageous eh? Typical tugger. And is that just a trick of the light or has he dumped his grey water in what looks like an empty car park?
This behaviour has got to be stopped or next thing we know we'll have wildcampers parking all over the place and arguing over the legality of 'no overnight parking' signs.

Pat

We are British. We like to have rules - and have others obey them. This is why we have such difficulties overnight parking in car parks in Britain which are otherwise empty.

This caravan will have no effect on us and I doubt if it raised any other eyebrows. I've occasionally seen caravans on aires and I've seen them often on parking places near ferry ports.

Probably just not very bright.....after he did buy a caravan rather than a motorhome......:)

Most tuggers are fine just like must of us, but there's always one intent on sod u I'm ok.

The tow vehicle may well be a campervan, so how does that work? Will he have to park his caravan outside the Tarmac campsite thingy (aire). As posted earlier, what did the person say when you spoke to them? I presume you did, if it bothered you enough to post about it. :lol-053:

The local police will deal with any issues. They actually do deal with things like this unlike in the UK.

He is still hitched up to the vehicle so I really dont see what the problem is. Its not like he has taken up two spaces or got out all the paraphernalia that seems to be associated with Tugging. Maybe he was knackered after a long drive or ferry crossing. I have also seen the odd caravan on aires. I dont see what the problem is as long as they only take up one space. Its not like we dont break the rules by putting out tables and chairs etc.

We were on an aire in Leucate when a GB registered car with a caravan pulled on, he was told not to get comfortable but he insisted he had as much right as us, Municipal Police arrived within the hour and cleared him off.
At an aire in the South West last year they told a motorhomer who had a car and a trailer at the side of him he had one hour to leave or he would be fined, I have never seen anyone pack up as quickly in my life.

We saw a massive caravan arrive at the aire in Honfleur & set up with his satelite dish outside so the kids coiuld watch telly. It didn't bother us, there was loads of room & hopefully he bought a ticket or 3.

Give him break .he hasn't even got his steady legs down .did he have time to come to a complete stop

Looking at the Yorkshire registration, it's probably the first time he's been abroad...ie, south of Doncaster.

He'll be in a state of nervous collapse and won't understand a word spoken to him. Tell him he can get black pudding in France , but he'll have to drive off to get it..
