Does anybody know the best number to call to cancel my ADAC membership? Been a member for a couple of years & not needed to to use them, time to renew our insurance & they are giving me a good deal with full European breakdown cover so I don't need ADAC. I still have about 3 months left with ADAC so I should be able to cancel but can't find out who I need to contact.

If you don't cancel 3 months in advance as there T&C state you can be liable to pay for another 12 months. I would prefer to abide by there rules, I might want to rejoin at some time in the future.

Best bet may be to email them and ask for an english speaker to call you back. That's how I joined. Think her name was Barbara.

0 800 5 10 11 12 is the membership number.
or
0049 89 22 22 22 is their callout number.

Ask politely if they can speak english (they always can)

As mentioned above, they don't like you to leave.

sometimes it's best to cancel your Brit breakdown and get your insurance cheaper, ask if possible (nothing is for free) ADAC is worth keeping in my view.,

ADAC, and also other European companies that you might have dealings with, require 3 months notice of leaving in writing - not by email

I appreciate your view but the insurance I am probably getting is with Safegaurd & ther is no option not to have the breakdown cover, I negoiated a good deal at the NEC then I tried there 'spin the wheel' game & got a further £50 off. It makes it less than I paid last year with Saga which nobody could better.n We are likely to to less foregin touring next year so ADAC is an uneccessary extra expense.

Found this site ADAC kündigen | ADAC Mitgliedschaft online kündigen mit gratis Kündigungsschreiben which will fax a cancellation letter (for a price) but you can copy & paste the text with your own details & use one of the free internet to fax services. I will try calling today to find somebody I can email/fax it to. I know they don't want you to leave as I was going to cancel last year but I remember it was difficult to actually get anybody who I could talk to. I was hoping somebody might have an actual phone number/address/ email that they know works, there are so many different ones when you try looking on there website.

Adac

Barbara Lorenz. 0049 941 55673, as previously said it may be better to get reduction on insurance premium and keep ADAC.
That's what I done.

Sent a letter to the Munich office, does anybody know of a free internet fax service (want to do a belt & braces)? Tried Popfax but don't seem to get a confirmation as it says. I'm sure I've used a fax website before but can't find one that works.
