Ah, I see. This has triggered my curiosity now. I've got a watt meter hidden somewhere at home so I'll have a go at measuring AC load on charge vs battery charge current to see what it actually is. However, that's still probably not going to be absolute as the different chargers in peoples vans will have different efficiencies.
Looking at it a different way, if we have a completely flat 100 amp hour battery then that's going to take a theoretical 1.2 units to charge at 100% efficiency. Even at 30% efficiency that's only 3 units spread over a couple of days.
