Count us in some point next year, best of luck with the Aire.Would love to meet some of you if you’re up in North East Scotland - do drop into our Aire at Fraserburgh. Only £5 per night and water is available.

Our Vanessa van has found fame in Cameron’s video and it’s gone to her head! She’s demanding a new paint job having seen herself on TV
What a perfect trip - the Moray Coast to Loch Ness is lovely, but then I’m biased. Will be great to meet you (though suspect Vanessa could still be in need of her beauty treatment, as Greg is now working on her new baby siblings Wonsie and Suki - he loves a bargain and a good project, especially now he’s bought a new welder )Well the Irish have a saying, “why do today what you can put of till tomorrow”
Well we decided to do the reverse, and instead of waiting till next year to visit Glenbuchty stop over, we are of there end of this month. Looking forward to our two nights there and to meet with our hosts Cecilia and Greg. (And a newly repainted Vanessa of course)
After that it’s two nights in Findhorn, then the C&CC site at Loch Ness shores.
Canny wait.
Thanks for this Bill. It was lovely to meet you and Margaret and we’re glad you enjoyed your stay. Great photos - love the lighthouse ones and glad you got a sunset one over our shore. Please do come back and visit anytime, it was a pleasure having you stay. Enjoy the rest of your travels xJust spent two nights at glenbuchty cottage near Fraserburgh. Cie and Gregg, are good hosts, welcoming us on our arrival, giving some good advice on where to go.
It’s hard standing with freshwater available from a tap on the gable of the cottage. There are waste bins for recycling on site, and for more general waste there’s a bin across the road.
They also own the land directly across the road, and they have created a path to the shore with a stone bench were you can watch the many seals, who can be heard in the morning.
We went to the lighthouse museum in Fraserburgh, and for only £7 each we booked a guided tour of the lighthouse and access to the museum. I found that very interesting.
The walk into Fraserburgh is about 10 minutes, and there’s an Asda about 5 minutes were you can also get fuel.
Here’s some shots from our trip.
