Calais Aire closed

Not seen a thread about the Calais Aire being closed. We use here on return to tunnel. Just looking at the status there and see it is closed until June. Camping-car Park will be taking over the Aire. Guess the price will increase too... Seeing many aires and campsites being taken over by this company and payment barriers added to others.

Trouble with CCP they have a agreement with the local councils where they take over a aire to close all other aires in their area

Some of the campsites we have seen this trip that CCP have taken over and advertised as motorhome/ campervan friendly are far from it. Suppose to have a five minute viewing time but we were told by a Dutch couple it was now 2 minutes, they had been caught out recently and charge €6. We now don't enter with the van we walk around first if we cannot see the site.

No parked on street in front of Holiday Inn . Think it's Quai d'Angouleme
