We don't help Remainers. :lol-049:

Seriously, someone (Aquaticarian?) gave a BBC link on the problems. I think it was BBC South East. They might be a good bet for up to date info. They will no doubt update anything relevant.

Came through to uk today, they said 30 min delay but we arrived in uk ten minutes early, no problems for us safe trip, andy

Just got on the ferry on our way home all quiet at Calais.

Did you get searched ?

We came back at the start of the month and they went through our motorhome with a fine toothed comb, even the belly lockers.

We were the only vehicle at check in so maybe they were just bored.

The way Calais is these days you can just never tell when something is going to kick off, which is why we now go Dieppe. But of course even Dieppe has had a problem or two just recently. As for Citi Europe, personally I wouln't touch it, but now that they have cut all the bushes back and fenced the whole of Calais with razor wire so it resembles Colditz it may be Ok.

French side of check in ,guy came on board had a quick look around smiled and said very nice ,when are you coming back ?

The one that SEARCHED :scared: us was a right miserable bugger

He never spoke as he looked in the wardrobe, bathroom, round the corners or the rear bed and then pointed at the benches which i lifted for him.

Outside he looked in the garage ( used a torch ), gas locker and belly lockers all of which were locked and have extra Fiamma Door Safe locks fitted to them.

At the end all we got was " OK " and he waved us on :rolleyes2:

This is the first time we`ve ever been searched on that crossing and i would say it was very thorough although i`ve nothing to compare it to.

I`ve nothing against it and think it should be done more often however, a little politeness would have been nice

We're sat waiting to board ferry now. I'm pleased to see all the security in place. We came too early for a start - had to either pay €29 to get on ferry which was docked or wait for next one for free (still before we were due). Just went and sat for an hour watching police cars coming and going with the immigrants who they had caught. The port is very busy. Now to get free meal thanks to kind poster in May.
