Cadac Safari chef

I've just changed canisters on my safari chef and tried to use a Coleman C 500 canister with it for the first time (used Cadac EN417 previously). And it doesn't work.... Gas won't stay alight. Do I have to use Cadac canisters? Thanks

I'm pretty certain the ones I use with ours are Coleman C500s. Definitely not Cadac anyway. It was whatever they had on the selves at my local Caravan dealers.

Sounds like you have a duff cannister / blocked valve / blocked jets?

Think it must be a duff canister then. The old one wasn't quite finished when I changed it because I didn't want it to run out in the midst of my chefing. I put it back on and it worked fine. Grrrr.
 
I use mine with my calor gas bottle. No problem
