So managed to buy a van make and style i had been looking for the ones i looked at earlier were what i would call shabby - so erring on the side of caution social distancing hand sanitiser - i viewed and bought a nice van - next problem i have 2 vans taxed and insured - only 1 will fit up drive - this is a big gamble can i sell my old van quickly - may of bitten off more than i can chew here - so my thoughts when i buy is it clean and tidy first impressions - well not bad you could get it better - so out with the meguires polisher which i had just bought best £300 i have spent - polish whole outside of van - clean and polish the inside - took me a week certainly cleaner than most if not all traders used vans on show - sold within 24 hrs ( sensibly priced though ) - so little bit of time and effort which cost me nothing i now have the make and style of van i was looking for and not dirty and grubby like some i had viewed - so out with the polisher on the new van 5 hrs on back and 1 side you can see your face in it - ok should of started on roof first but it is the hardest bit and takes the longest - but i will pick it up when i finish the side and front.

Always worth the extra mile cleaning etc when selling what's a weeks graft and a bit elbow grease to get that sale,When buying the general smell can make me purchase or walk away.
Pleased you got the van you wanted.
Question do you think you paid a little more or less due to the present situation, been watching ebay and auto trader and prices seem to be going up a little as lockdown eases. Really hope we don't have a second wave.

What compound and polishes did you use .machine polishing a vehicle is quit skillful but the results can be amazing.

Farecla profile 3 stage process if needed compound / polish / uv wax as far as machine polishing i have a vicious one similar to a 9 in angle grinder that is dangerous and can do serious damage to vehicle very easily - the meguires certainly is not cheap but has soft start slow and fast speed but it is a professional polisher.

I had been looking for a euramobil build quality is very good and spotted beemers for sale - sensible price and clean bit of a gamble with current situation ( over 200 miles away ) as i said in OP but little bit of work but well worth it for the speed my old one went.

Gonna mop outside of van replace stickers beemer gave me - few pictures when done sent to beemer

Reason van has only taken 5 hrs is because it didn't need the stage 1 compound but damage is only a machine slip away so you have to be careful - only used polish and plenty of water in spray bottle - used damp washing up sponge just to clean polish off - keep rinsing out and change of water - when i get to the uv wax i'll do it the same and quick wipe over with microfibre cloth in the end

I can buy it back then, once you have cleaned it and put the new stickers on :)

It is hard work Dave but certainly worth it ( had been looking for euramobil for a while ) just had to put it too the missus but where the stickers had cracked it is what women notice - but i dont see it as hard work remove old stickers bit of IPA to clean area 1 at a time bit of water and a squeegee should save it sticking down in wrong place then i can slowly pull backing off as i go along - then just wax it easy

Sounds like you've been hard at it, well done you.

Any chance of some pics of your new van? (y) :)

That is the one a lot cleaner example than other similar euramobil vans i have looked at - outside finish is clean but dull - the transfers are cracked/split need replacing which beemer had anyway - Lacquer on plastic skirts is lifting badly - options are remove plastic skirts and get re-lacquered to prepare/spray them properly they will also fit in any spray/oven then - other option is ignore to a point let lacquer peel off and use revitaliser/trim restorer/enhanser like the vehicles that just have plastic finish - which is the way i am erring to now - will cost a small fortune to get re-lacquered and how long will it last - interior is in excellent clean condition other ones i'd looked at no comparison at all - saw the potential and got on it quickly wife still only sees the stickers needing replacement impressed with the inside though - think that if you see something you want you have to take the gamble or someone else will

Remember that . Bob a Job week. Always used to get a few nice jobs done and usually got more than the 1 shilling. Except for our next door neighbour. He wanted the hedge cutting back same as I had done on our back hedge. Spent hours doing it and he liked what I had done and then he put his hand in his pocket and out came his purse and then out came a one shilling piece. First and last time he got any jobs done by me or the 124th in Wollaton.

Gutty job polishing outside of vans and you could probably get it done for £300 but by doing it yourself you get chance to check paintwork and possibly see minor problems before they turn into major problems and costs - and rectify them - which is why i like to do a good exterior polish when i get a van if possible ( dont like cold or rain i hibernate then ) but it works for me

Spent another 6 hrs today cleaning and mopping done half roof front over cab and side only leaves half the roof and the front to do before attempting the stickers ( van looks good and i've only used wet kitchen sponge with fairly clean water only need microfibre cloth to shine but ) gonna try a tool that looks to work well sons suggestion then i'll wax + microfibre cloth for residue - promised beemer first look and he can show everyone what he sold - although skirt lacquer will bring van looks down - i will certainly buy beemer and swmbo a drink if i see him again i am well happy with van
