Bude Area of Cornwall

Hi All

Totally new to wild camping so hope someone has some suggestions!

We are heading to Bude in August and are booked into a caravan park for a couple of days.

HOWEVER we are hoping to wild camp one night on the way to the park and one night coming home.

Does anyone have any suggestions of any where within about an hour of Bude that we would be able to stay in a motorhome? Ideally close to a beach but not overly fussy

Bude camping

Over the years I have stayed in the carpark at Widemouth Bay, just get a ticket before 9am in the morn
Also there is a lay-by on the Millook road, turn off by the Widemouth Bay Hotel, that has spectacular views. Both great for an overnight camp up
