Broken Ducato front spring

No, sold it, few years after getting the green Sprinter. Needed to make sure the Sprinter was any good before I got rid of it.

There weren't many straight panels left on it though. It's now been pimped with 20" wheels and Brabus body kit, poor truck, no G deserves that.
Had a lot of fun in it though.
Anyway, good enough excuse for a few pics.

Update ,we have to call Peugot breakdown ass on Thu 90 min before we are at storage area for pick up to take van to be repaired,see what Thu brings no doubt they will have no record of it ..

Blimy that was scary! I had just stood in the front cab when there was an almighty bang and the front right dropped by several inches. A quick inspection revealed that the coil spring had snapped in two. Whilst p***d off it broke, I am also relieved it happened on the drive. So much for our trip out tomorrow!

2006 2.3 JTD Hymer B544 on Ducato 244 platform. Can anyone advise if they use standard Ducato coil springs? I'm guessing I had better change the dampers as well while at it as they are original Any tips from anyone that has done the job would be appreciated. Before anyone says anything, I have a friend with decent spring compressors as I'm pretty sure my car ones would not cope.

Just happened to me - my my is 20 years old, 3.85t. Big hole in road, a bang and suspension bottomed out. Thought noof it until I did some low speed manoeuvres and the wheel arch chopped chunks off my tyre! Replacing both springs and shock absorbers, about £800. Spent £1700 on new discs and pads, cam belt and water pump change, service and MOT last month now this! We only had 8 days away!

There is always problems to solve, i spent all yesterday rebuilding and inventing some parts to make a new wiper spindle on driver side, for once it all worked first time.

We are at present in Barnard Castle, same has happened to us our MH is not 1 year old yet ,dealership not interested and on the phone yesterday for nearly 2 hrs .MH still under warranty .Booked in at earliest they can 31st Aug .So annoyed

Update on our Elddis Accordo MH ,it's still in the garage 25 miles from home ,it was looked at last week and we thought we would have it home .Saga continues .Wrong part sent and apparently our MH has been built with an upgraded suspension and garage cant find the part .Spoke to dealership who promised to contact Elddis ,garaged promised to contact technical dept and we are still waiting .Van still under warranty ,I've gave up speaking to Sallantis Peugeot complaints dept they are so unhelpful and rude ,I have sent emails to peugot customer care no replies as yet ,I've sent email to Elddis no reply. Does anyone have any telephone numbers of someone who could help I just need to speak to someone who can help .thanks liz
