Bolt app for city cab rides? I believe they started in Estonia but we’ve seen them (and used them) all the way down from Tallinn and now well into Poland. Downloaded the app from the App Store (not sure about android). They are now a big rival to Uber everywhere apparently. When you order a cab online from your phone you get the drivers photo, name and the vehicle make, colour and reg. The driver will only pick up from an agreed place and respond to the name of the customer.

We’ve used them in cities where ‘older legs’ just don’t have the stamina these days and they are very reasonably priced, 2 mile trips costing €1.40, no cash involved just payment from an agreed card - Revolut in our case.

Apparently they do go fetch meals from favoured eat houses and e scooters too.

Anyone else tried them or had experiences with them good or bad?

Not used Bolt but just had a look on an app on my phone called Citymapper (very good btw) and it gives many options for travel in most cities.
It listed Ola, Uber, Bolt, Freenow and Black Cab. I've used Uber in the past, not often but very good service and as you say details of who and what vehicle provided.
When I've been talking with some of the drivers, always interesting, some use more than one app at a time, so you may use Bolt or Uber and end up with the same person.

Much favoured in former eastern block countries Trev, but not very good for you apparently - e number count is off the scale!
