I get fed up with the PC brigade taking offence all the time. I was told the other day that I couldn't say "half-cast" because it was racist. Apparently I have to say "mixed race" instead. Ever feel like you're permanently treading on egg shells?!
There was no foul or abusive language or direct insults directed at participating individuals in the afore-listed posts; just personal opinions from free speaking contributors. You may disagree with some of those opinions Vicky, so it would have been interesting to have the benefit of your opposing view in the spirit of good healthy educational debate.
There's one thing for certain: you'll certainly not educate or convert anyone by throwing your teddy out of the pram.

I agree, FWIW I dont particularly subscribe to a lot of what has been written,yet some of it I agree with re PC madness.

Leaving a forum because of an attitude which contradicts your own seems a little extreme, But I understand Vicki's decision.

I have posted well meaning posts in the past which have resulted in beratement. Nowadays to busy and it isnt worth the effort.
