For once the internet gets it right!

On Friday the freezer at home gave up the ghost in a big way.
With a bit of internet searching we managed to order a new one and arrange deliver and fitting for today (Monday). It arrived and the fitter said it was unsuitable for installing in our integrated unit. It said "integrated" on the web page and gave no indication that there are different types of doors on integrated units. We ordered "fixed" and we need "sliding".

'No problem' he said 'just call in at the shop and we'll arrange a different mode freezer. '

Went to car (purchased from main dealer last week) and it will not start. It is 100% EV and very complicated. Lexus assist are on their way but we expect they will take it away.

So we are waiting in and then will go to Currys by taxi.

We are flying to the sun at 5:00 am tomorrow so it will be February before we get a new freezer.

Called the insurance about food loss and they said covered subject to a £100 excess. Value of food is £100 !

Wow! Thats a lot. Im beginning to think we probably saved money going away Dec / Jan in the van on CL's that were £18 and £15 a night. Im never really sure how much oil we use but its been on full chat since we got home on Saturday. Electric is about £17 a month at the moment though with the discount.

My last bill was £188 electric, which is high for us, kids using pc each running 24/7 burning 100w which is treble what all the led lights in the house would burn.
