Bit of a rant

I sometimes despair at some of the people who are absolutely stupid.

I popped along to the Pharmacy for my repeat prescription. It means crossing a main road that can be very busy at peak times. There is a pedestrian crossing, you push the button and wait for the traffic to stop. When I left the Pharmacy there was no traffic nearby but there was an emergency Ambulance on blues and two coming in my direction but hundreds of yards away. I crossed the road but a woman behind me (despite being aware of the Ambulance), pressed the button. The Ambulance driver had to brake hard and slowly pass the crossing. I don't now if she heard my expletives, luckily there were no small children to hear them.

I have seen folk in cars move out and block the outside lane entering roundabouts with a ambulance trapped behind them, its the look after yourself john brigade and feck everyone else.

People annoy me more than pets. It got to me a bit on some of the busy Aires last year. I definitely prefer wilding in remote places or a tucked away off grid CL in a huge field.

I love this one in Cornwall. It has 360 degree and sea views and plenty of space. Only 5 vans max. I think it was about £8 a night last time we were there. If it was France, Spain or Italy there would be two hundred vans on there. :D Mind you we found some fabulous places in the Alps and Pyrenees last summer.

I love dogs but I don't see it differently, it is annoying, my dog doesn't bark, unless there's a good reason for it.
My nice neighbours on one side were glad that he barked at 3.00am, someone was looking around their car and van outside.
My neighbours on the other side have two small dogs which were constantly yapping, we could hear the neighbour saying " aw, stop it, you know you're not supposed to do that", and similar stupid things as if the dogs understand English.
I ordered one of these from Amazon,View attachment 151009
It is rechargeable by USB, I placed it on the fence as close as possible to their garden, as soon as they ran out yapping it stopped them, and they ran back inside, this happened a few times and then they are a lot quieter, it doesn't hurt them so it isn't cruel.
Any idea what the range is?

Feral kids annoy me more than Dogs!

The advert on Amazon said 33 feet.

Our rear gardens are quite large, but it is strange how they work, our neighbours dogs run out to the front barking at everything but if this is on in the back garden they don't even run out to the front, they just seem to go very calm, nothing bought from Amazon can be returned for a full refund if it doesn't work as advert, it is worth trying because if it doesn't work for your needs you can simply return it

Many years back i was almost involved in an accident whilst travelling along the A59 Longton Bypass near the Lancashire Police Headquarters which is a dual carriageway and back then had a national speed limit ( 70MPH ) on it.

I was the rear vehicle in a line of 3 travelling in the inside lane when when a Police vehicle came out of the headquarters behind us and was steaming down the outside lane on blues & twos which obviousy caught us up pretty quickly

The doddering old geritatric psychopath that was at the front slammed on his brakes and stopped to let it pass ON A FEKKING DUAL CARRIAGEWAY 🤬 😡

We all pulled into the layby that was just ahead and the dozy old twat still didn`t know what he`d done wrong and argued he was only letting an emergency vehicle get past............................. ON A FEKKING DUAL CARRIAGEWAY 🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡

We live in a lovely rural setting my neighbours has one of those westy terriers that barks at everybody that walks past, I do shout at it but it still continues.
I’m going to get one of these as soon as I’m home. Thanks for the link

I had a Westie once, well the wife did. The thing barked and barked and drove the neighbours crackers while we were at work. So much so that the council got involved. We tried everything, noise activated lemon scent squirters which went on the collar, retraining, you name it, we tried it and nothing worked. Then I tried divorce …. that worked well 😁

Spain seems to be the worst for barking dogs. Sadly many of them are hunting dogs, left outside at night and killed at the end of the season. Dogs being dogs, when one starts the rest join in.

That is actually the problem we have, the house owners opposite us have two beautiful English setters, in a pen, which are hunting dogs allowed out on Sunday mornings to hunt. The large mongrel, wanders the garden, and anything that moves gets barked at, and the other dogs all join in for 20mins or so day and night.

Seems to be the norm in Spain, as said earlier we drove 400kms to visit friends who just bought a house in La Romana just inland from Alicante only to stay one night as the house next door had a large pen in the garden with three fecking dogs in it barking all day and night if you so much as farted!
I wish I knew the secret to how the owners tolerate it

Says not to use on dogs over 8 though Tezza unfortunately

In Otley, Yorkshire, few years ago, A local Toff, used to park his white Bentley in a prominent place. A huge barking German Shepherd on the white leather back seat.
The cops warned him that he was causing parking problems and suggested that he park in the shade, in summer.
He told them he was legally parked and suggested that they p155 off,
They noticed that the rear window was slightly open.
They slipped a couple of chocolate Ex Laxes through the gap..
You can imagine the state of the car, when he returned.

You are a brave person with this post. We are a nation of dog lovers and the little fur babies can do no wrong. However it has already been said that it is the fault of the owner not the dog.
I am not a fan and cannot stand barking.
I bought a gadget that was supposed to emit a high frequency sound to stop them. I found whenever I carried it I had no problems but when I left it behind I would have some sort of unpleasant encounter with a dog.!
I guess it worked 🫤

Corner of my street known as sh-t corner is disgusting every morning, the midnight dog walkers dont clean up as no one is watching, and the wardens if any cannot inforce you to give name address, only police can do that if a crime has taken place, and no mission of that happening as more important things for them to be doing.
I like dogs cats etc esp having a puss at home, but some folk take the p-ss and should if ever caught get a large fine which others will take note off.

At home, perhaps you can successfully persuade your neighbours to keep their dogs quiet.
While touring you have very little chance of that.
BUY EARPLUGS! They work in both situations :ROFLMAO:

OK: I agree that you shouldn't need to and it's only affected me once in 20y, on a Britstop in N Wales.
