I researched the best portable power station for 2025 because I need a reliable backup option for camping trips and also for short power outages at home. I came across reviews on New York Times, Consumer Reports, and Popular Mechanics, and they are recommending these two as some of the best options in 2025:

Jackery HomePower 3600 Plus Portable Power Station

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FM8653F1?th=1

BLUETTI B300K, 2764.8Wh LiFePO4 Battery Pack for Portable Power Station

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FJ3XHFXP?th=1

Both look great, but I am having trouble deciding which one would best suit my needs. I’ll be using it mainly for outdoor camping, charging laptops/phones, running a small refrigerator, and maybe occasionally powering a few home appliances like a water pump or heater during outages.

So, which one do you think I should go for? Or is there another portable power station you’d recommend in 2025?Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

I have a bluetti 180 p 1400 w battery 1800 w output, smaller than your post bought from Hampshire generators

I use EcoFlow both for the MH and as back up in my holiday home, what I have found is buy a cheap product (in my case a river) then sign up on their website and wait for the next model to be announced. When the Delta 3 was announced I purchased a Delta Max 2 with 2 extra batteries for less than the original Delta Max 2 price.

Both are solid options, but a couple of things worth knowing before you decide.

The B300K is an expansion battery, not a standalone unit. It needs a Bluetti AC-series hub to work, so factor that into the total cost. The Jackery HomePower 3600 Plus is a complete unit, but at that capacity it's heavy, which matters if you're loading it in and out of a motorhome regularly.

For your use case (laptop, phones, small fridge, occasional pump or heater), a 1,000-2,000Wh unit with LiFePO4 cells is usually the better fit. Lighter, longer battery lifespan, and they handle cold better, which counts in UK weather.

The EcoFlow Delta 2 Max and the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 are both worth a look at that bracket.

I've put together detailed UK-focused comparisons on both, including wattage tables and real running costs, over at Best Portable Power Stations UK. Might save you some time.
