Being moved on...or not

Chainsaw hahaha
Best cover yourself by leaving a couple of logs by the van door ... just coincidence that 'plod' were there hehe

:scared: cor what a lot of.......only us in Britain can nitpick like this.... OK simple- I've had a drink and NO Way, Officer/ Mister, am I going to drive AND the ignition keys ARE NOT acessible
Abroad ity's different- if the polis or authority tells you to move... take my advice....move!

I think it depends what you are driving too.
In a panel van you seem to be less likely to be bothered than in a motorhome as a motorhome stands out.
Although having said that we have never been bothered in either but seen others being bothered.
If we were I think I would be as polite as possible and unless I had a drink would just move on a little if the ''we will be off in the morning without a trace left IM knackered excuse did'nt work''.
I would'nt feel settled after being asked to move on anyway.
One thing that annoys me though is here in the UK you can only sleep for two hours at services but in Europe you get a good nights rest.
Its daft as you think like and safety would come 1st.

yes true we are told constanlty thre tv adverts signs on the road take a break if you are feeling tierd yet on the m way you are at the mercy of the private sector in an effect a car park. just another examole of ppl with little or no money are taken advantaged of. lots of people of all ages who dont drive alot and have suddenly felt tierd threw no bein used to driving long distance or ppl on medication but still able to drive and start feeling tierd ave been caught in this way. Yet in all my time ive never herd any mp local councillor anything on the t.v about this issuie on m way services.

I find especially if you get a evening crossing from France and drive from dover for a couple of hours you suddenly feel battered.
We slept 5 hours heavily but luckily did not get a ticket as it was about 2 in the morning.
I think something needs to be put in place to extend night time stop over times on safety grounds.

exactly a night when the car park is empty . after all this is a saftey issuie and its being abused by the private sector. non toll roads belong to the state paid for with a mix of taxes. and before one say weel you dont have to stop thier if its private its choice. given the location etc its not like deciding to shop at tesco or asda is it. all now charge. its nothing more than a click like the gas and water and electric compnies how they move thoer prices at the same time but of course are not a cartel. yeh right. Its saftey full stop that sgould override all other issuies.
