Battery Question

I am thinking of using Trojan batteries in the van I've just built. Is there any advantage in using two 6v as opposed to one 12v of the same ah?

none I can think of, providing you use the 'proper' deep cycles, ie the 12v ones are T1275 and J150, the other ones, XM31 or something like that aren't proper deep cycles even if they say they are.
