battery question

is it allowable or possible to have 1 leisure battery over another on a well made shelf.

reason . bought new van . leisure battery is in cupboard inside van. there is more than enough room to put a well made shelf above battery already in there.

alternative is extra battery in the boot which means loads of cables , thick cables because of voltage drop.and loss of boot space

yes i know about accessing fuses and cables and venting.

not seen this raised before.

Yes.
The battery will only need a strong shelf to support it.

Good strong shelf and as long as its a sealed battery then no probs.
I would use speed connectors like these and wire this way.
Handy if you require to jump start van by taking out and using booster jump leads.
