Battery Not charging Off Solar

No matter what it tells you, if the voltage is 14.2, the controller doesn't think it is fully charged yet. It will drop back to about 13.7 or 13.8 when it thinks it is fully charged.

This is where it can get awkward using a voltmeter as a pseudo-SOC meter.
When the voltage is reading ~13.8V, is the battery still charging up and not reached the ~14.2V Absorption/CV charge mode stage yet, or is it fully charged and in Float mode?

Although, as you say, all is well now with the battery, it may be worth checking all connections are secure.
